FAVORITE FIND: The long and short of it

If you haven't heard, H&M will be coming out with a 20% off one item coupon soon (feel free to sign up here to receive it when it's released.)  H&M is one of the most length-friendly stores out there and that being so, if there's a 20% off deal, you're sure to find some hits.

The sometimes problem with long tops is that you tend to lose a waist, which is nice to have to give you a proportionate look.  I like the idea of layering this polka dot blue top over the long blouse (pictured directly underneath) to give you a waist and color.

Top - from H&M

Short-sleeved, fitted top in soft jersey with a seam at waist and a flounce at hem.

Tunic - from H&M

Straight-cut, long-sleeved tunic in sheer chiffon crêpe with a tie at neckline and concealed buttons at top.

Bird blouses are the new thing for spring; here is H&M's design.

Tunic - from H&M

Softly tailored tunic in a sheer silk blend with a dress shirt-style front with pin-tucks, ruffles, and pearly buttons. Narrow imitation leather belt and button-tab sleeves.

Can't ever go wrong with a basic button down shirt.  In fact, it may need to be a new basic.

Blouse - from H&M

Straight-cut blouse in gauzy cotton with long sleeves and shirred shoulders.

Long blazers are so rare - they're like finding a four leaf clover.  Here's a knit one in a soft pink.  Picture it over any of the following tops.

Blazer - from H&M

Double-breasted knit blazer with front pockets. Lined.

Dress - from H&M

Straight, knee-length dress in soft, brushed satin with 3/4-length sleeves and a slit and covered button at back of the neck.

Dress - from H&M

Short, fitted, long-sleeved dress in stretch jersey.

Try this in the bright pink for a pop of color.
